Globacom Limited is Nigeria's Second National Operators in GSM, Fixed, Broadband and Gateway with operations in Republic of Benin and Ghana. Its subsidiary Glo1 has launched 9800 kilometers of submarine cable from Bude in the U.K to Lagos, Nigeria, with branches in 14 West African Countries like Senegal, Cote D'Ivore, Ghana etc.

It is also set to launch the commercial services of Glo1 submarine cables, which will revolutionize the data services in and out of West Africa countries to the rest of the world. suitable qualified candidates are required for the following positions

PLANNING AND PROVISIONING ENGINEERS Ref: PPE
Qualification:
- Minimum of B. Engineering or other related disciplines.

Experience/Skills:
- DWDM/TDM/IP/MPLS/ Ethernet Technologies
- 7 years experience in planning and implementing domestic and international circuit.
- Preferably, working experience with an international carrier

Responsibilities:
- Plan the capacity of DWDM/IP Backbone Network to maintain smooth workflow.
- Apply provisioning to new network elements to make sure they work properly.
- Introduce new services /technologies to the network to help improve the quality of services.
- Ensure that the integrity of the network is properly palnned, built, audited and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Build and test the circuit as specified by the sales team, adhering to stringent SLA based timelines
- End to end planning provisioning, testing and handover of circuit for customers and capturing of entire details of processes involved in service delivery

OPERATIONS AND FIELD MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS Ref : OFME
Qualification:
- Minimum of B.Engineering or other related discipline.

Experience/Skills:
- 7 years experience in operations and maintenance in a data telecommunication company.
- Knowledge of carrier-class networking architechure icluding the following technologies; DWDM, SDH, IP/MPLS/Ethernet.
- Knowledge of testing tools like eth tester, SDH and optical spectrum analyser.

Responsibilities:
- Operation and maintenance of SDH, DWDM, IP equipment , including Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei.
- Testing, commissioning and fault isolation of circuits at various transmition rates.
- Close interaction and coordination with domestic and international segment providers ( SPs)
- Monitor or trouble shoot end equipment and intermediary equipment involve in circuit build up.
- Provide periodic updates on network maintenance and service levels.

NOC ENGINEERS Ref : NOCE
Qualification:
- Minimum of B. ENgineering, or other relevant discipline.

Experience/Skills:
- 7 years experience in telecoms network operations management.
- Knowledge of SDH, DWDM, IP equipment operation and alarm handling.
- Familiar with operation support systems (OSS)/ bussiness support systems.

Responsibilities:
- SLA management/trouble ticketing/ quality reports.
- Developing the SLA as per the inputs recieved from the operations team.
- Developing the monitoring matrices for SLA performance. Fault isolation and monitoring of equipment through NMS (Network Management System)
- Monitor the network 24/7 and facilitate corrections of carrier misalignment problems.
- Provide technical reactive/proactive services to customers reporting fault, working with committed SLAs.
- Ensure clear records of work carried out are maintained.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Ref:PDM
Experience/Skills
- Min of 5-8 years in telecom market.
- Possesses a broad knowledge of the DWDM/IP/MPLS,GMPLS. Experience with data/call centers highly.

Responsibilities:
- Represent the continuum from product conception to product launch and product support.
- Explore potential opportunities in the marketplace to ultimately sell the product.
- Develop specific Glo-1 marketing plans and activities to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
- Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
- Oversea market research, monitor competitive activities, and identify customers needs.
- Establish pricing strategies.
- Interface with technical and sales to develop new products or enhance existing ones.

-SALES MANAGERS FOR:DOMESTIC BUSINESS-ISPS AND TELECOM Ref:SDB
-RETAIL AND CHANNEL BUSINESS-ISPS AND SMBS Ref:SRB
General Requirements:
- Minimum of B.Sc Accounting, Buss Admin, Social sciences, or Other related disciplines
- Masters in Buss Admin or other Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage
- Proven experience in Enterprise Account Management
- Experience in Handling applications like video conferencing, telemedicine, ERP solutions will be an advantage.
- Minimun of 5 years selling experience in products like internet bandwith, IPLCs, Global VPNs and similar data products.

SALES EXECUTIVES Ref:SE
General Requirements:
- Minimum of BSc Accounting, buss admin, Social Sciences or any related discipline
- Masters in Buss Admin or other post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in enterprise account management
- Experience in Handling applications like video conferencing, telemedicine, ERP solutions will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years selling experience in products like internet bandwith, IPCLs, Global VPNs and similar data products.

Role Summary/Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for leading and strategically growing our full scope of Vetco Gray drilling products and services across land, subsea and capital drilling equipment.

Essential Responsibilities
Position the Company to achieve order bookings and targets as defined by Company strategy using whatever resources available to achieve this end.
* Prepare and maintain account plans for major accounts, setting strategies and targets in agreement with his/her supervisor.
* Communicate customer requirements into the organisation and ensure bidding and order processing is activated and followed through to a timely conclusion.
* Be involved during the bidding process and work with the proposals and project/operations organisations to ensure that quotations are of high quality and meet customer requirements. Within management guidelines, the account manager should set the proposed selling prices and fully understand the fiscal effect of each bid.
* When involved with project work, the account manager should be closely involved with all phases of the project execution, involving himself/herself in any events that require action to resolve technical, commercial or delivery issues.
* Be responsible for forecasting customers' requirements and maintain a current forecast through the marketing and forecasting database.
* Develop working relationships with key individuals within the customers' organisations to build trust and understanding and to be able to establish/anticipate the customers' requirements for Vetco Gray products and services.
* Be fully conversant with Company safety policies and procedures and always behave in a manner that satisfies safety requirements.
* Ensure that all business dealings, discussions and negotiations are conducted with complete probity and in compliance with the guidelines as set out in the Companies code of ethics.

Qualifications/Requirements
* Education to degree level in an engineering science, HNC or HND together with experience in the oil and gas industry would be a requisite. Familiarity with commercial issues would be an advantage.
* Candidates should be capable of forging strong business relationships, managing their business with minimum intervention from their supervisor, be first class communicators and be able to work effectively in team situations.
* The account manager should be prepared, when the occasion demands, to travel within Nigeria in the interests of Company and Customer business.
